Life Skills and Employability Volunteer
Could you support us to provide new learning and employability and/or life skills opportunities for disabled people to help boost their independence and achieve their goals? Life Skills and Employability Volunteers can play a central role in learners’ progress by providing one-to-one support, but you will also be offered opportunities to support group learning and social activities.
Key Tasks
- To support learning activity taking place during your volunteering slot. (The content you are comfortable to support would be agreed with the Learning Support Team prior to you starting your volunteering).
- To help staff to maintain a safe and secure leaning environment (full training given).
- To promote a person-centered approach and positive image of disability.
Hours – Ideally we would like you to commit to 2 hours per week, preferably on the same day to enable the Learning Support Team to plan.
